Request an Obituary

To request a copy of an obituary to be emailed or mailed to you, fill out and submit the form below. The library can email a copy for free or print and send a copy for $3.00 per article. The first 1/2 hour of research work is free. After that, the charge is $30.00 per hour.

If you found a reference to the obituary in our Obituary Index, please include all the information from the entry: name, date, page and newspaper (Tribune or Herald).

If the death predates our index or doesn't appear in our index, fill in the person's name and any other information that you know. Library staff will try to find an obituary, but we cannot promise results. Newspapers from the early 1900s often did not include many obituaries.
