Request to Set Up an Information Table
An organization can submit an application to set up a table in the lobby for informational purposes.
Please note that proposals must be submitted at least one month before the proposed tabling date.
Please note that this is not a library-sponsored event. Tabling events must be free to the public and provide a community service that aligns with the Library’s mission. All requests will be reviewed by the Library Manager or designee for approval.
TABLING REQUEST GUIDELINES:
- Tabling requests from outside groups are not considered library sponsored unless there is a specific request to partner with the Library.
- Tabling requests must provide a community service that aligns with the Library’s mission.
- The information must be provided at no cost to the public. Sales at tables are prohibited.
- The group requesting to set up a table will be directed to complete a tabling request form on the Library’s website for review by the Library Manager or designee.
- The request form must be submitted at least one month in advance of the event to ensure space is available and there are no conflicting programs or events happening in the library.
- An assigned staff person will inform the requestor of approval or denial; in the event of approval, they will follow up with the group to work out the details. That person will be responsible for seeing that tables and chairs are set up and determine what else may be necessary.
- Tables may be set up in either the Superior Street or the Michigan Street lobbies and must take place during the Library’s open hours. Tabling requests at the branch libraries will be considered, subject to space availability.
